June 2 - July 7, 2019

Have you always wanted to write a play but didn’t know how to get started? Then this class is for you. With a series of structured exercises, you’ll learn how to structure a dramatic script with the final goal of completing your very own 10-minute play that will be ready to submit to short-play contests across the country.

This class is geared towards novice playwrights.

Instructor - F.J. Hartland

F. J. Hartland was named as one of the top playwrights in Pittsburgh by Writers News Weekly in 2012.  He has awarded “Best Play” from the Pittsburgh New Works Festival 4 times and has been published by reputable companies such as Samuel French, United Stages, Original Works, and the Louisville Review. His plays have been performed all over the country, including in New York City with Emerging Artists Theatre, the Quaigh Theater, 13th Street Theatre, Love Creek Productions, and GAYFEST NYC.
