Opening September 23rd and running through October 1 at Carnegie Stage, WHAT KIND OF WOMAN by Abbe Tanenbaum will be a performance not to be missed.
Celebrating the return of Artistic Director, Virginia Wall Gruenert, to Carnegie Stage, this show will leave the audience with a call to action. WHAT KIND OF WOMAN is a story of empowerment and the choices we make, for better or for worse. When aging feminist and lifetime 'collector', Nora (Virginia Wall Gruenert) gets a final opportunity to reconnect with her estranged son, she hires personal organizer and struggling actress Anne to whip her apartment into shape for his visit. But letting go of the past to make space for the present isn't always straightforward.
With reproductive rights being the inspiration for this piece, off the WALL productions will donate $5 for every ticket sold during the run at Carnegie Stage. After the shows on September 24th and September 30th, audiences will have the ability to stay after the show for a talkback with members of our creative team and educational staff from Planned Parenthood. (Reminder that tickets are limited! One performance that featured a talkback for our last production, NOT MY REVOLUTION, was sold out. Those who would like to attend a talkback performance are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.)
